Constantly redefining what it means to be a ‘community hospital’, our partner, North York General Hospital (NYGH), is a multi-site acute, ambulatory and long-term care network for our diverse community, an incubator for applied research, a springboard for innovation in the health care landscape and a destination for philanthropy. North York General Foundation (NYGF) is strategically expanding our team of leadership volunteers in pursuit of new ways to reach our community, demonstrate impact and raise funds for an incredible hospital.
We are relentless in our quest to secure revenue for strategic campaigns like our new Birthing Centre, Research and Innovation, and urgent equipment across departments in the hospital and as we ready ourselves for a $1.4B capital expansion for a new patient tower. We are recruiting the next generation of philanthropists to drive us towards the future and champion our growth imperative.

Picklebowl 2024 for North York General
Our Cause
As members of NextGen: Emerging Leaders for NYGH, we are proud to put our collective fundraising power, and the support of our network of caring individuals, to fund the future of the Maternal Newborn Unit at NYGH. This year, we are fundraising to replace aging iRes Panda Infant Warmers and a Giraffe Omnibed Care Station. As one of the largest single site birthing centers in Ontario, NYGH welcomes over 4,600 babies each year. To be able to provide outstanding care to the newest members of the North York community, we require essential upgrades to our neonatal equipment.
Together with our donors, this replacement equipment will help ensure every family is wrapped in care from the moment their little one is born.
What is NextGen: Emerging Leaders for NYGH?
Join other professionals who are emerging in their career and ready to redefine the next generation of philanthropists. Bring your energy, ideas and enthusiasm for health care fundraising to NYGF, while also meeting and networking with like-minded industry leaders and hospital executives.
Our NextGen program can serve as a feeder for future committee and board positions at NYGF, allowing you to use your unique skills and POV as we embark on the largest fundraising campaign in our history.
